Because of the ongoing pandemic, we have adapted our practices to make our services more accessible to you. Transportation challenges, financial barriers, and long distances between the therapist and the patient are among some of the reasons why you might be prompted to consult us through telehealth. We are happy to announce that we are now offering this service.
You might be wondering how a “digital” type of PT can help you. Here are a few examples:
- Home exercise program
If you already came in for an initial evaluation, your PT can demonstrate some exercises that you can continue at home. For instance, if you came in for neck pain, your PT can demonstrate different stretches and exercises that follow your treatment plan as based on your initial evaluation.
- Easy follow-up
Have you forgotten your exercises? Not sure how it should be done? Maybe you’re a little apprehensive about doing the wrong movement? You can easily check in with your PT and go through the exercises with him or her through telehealth.
- Advice on staying active
Your PT can help you build a simple exercise program to keep you active during this pandemic.
Of course, there are limitations to telehealth. Exercise programs and follow-up sessions work best, but most of the evaluation and manual therapy still need to be done in-person. The sessions are usually shorter, ranging from 15 minutes to 30 minutes. We charge 20 – 35€ for telehealth, depending on the length of the consultation. Telehealth consultations are covered by the Sécurité Sociale (although not in full).
